About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop account strategies, territory planning, and administrative processes to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Create and use quarterly business plans aligned with marketing strategies, account analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and customer insights
  • Prospect for new accounts and business development opportunities
  • Secure new customers through field activity, initial and repeat orders, and organized daily and weekly schedules

  • Manage client renewals and ongoing relationships
  • Coordinate with support teams during project fulfillment to ensure client satisfaction
  • Develop expertise in products and learning experiences and communicate product information to customers
  • Travel three or more days per week
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations
  • Complete sales reporting as needed
  • Participate in trade shows and trade organizations for networking and professional development
  • Generate revenue at target margin through qualified pipeline development, target-client acquisition, and long-term customer relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Consultative selling style focused on qualifying prospects' budget, authority, need, and timing
  • Self-starter able to work autonomously
  • At least 3 years of field sales experience with demonstrable results
  • K-12 education market experience is a plus
  • Ability and willingness to prospect for new business
  • Ability to efficiently manage a large account pipeline
  • Skills in prospecting, territory management, time management, presentations, negotiation, closing, problem solving, and customer service
  • Experience identifying, qualifying, and closing B2B deals ranging from $5,000 to over $50,000
  • Ability to think, plan, and act strategically
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to pass criminal background and drug screening
  • Strong proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, web searching, and other business applications
  • Ability to travel three or more days per week
  • Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including occasional lifting or moving up to 25 pounds
