About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop account strategies, territory plans, and administrative processes to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Develop and use quarterly business plans aligned with marketing strategies, account analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and customer insights
  • Prospect for new accounts and business development opportunities
  • Secure new and repeat customers through field activity, account calls, and organized work schedules

  • Involve Learning Experience Coordinators and Interior Designers in the sales process
  • Engage school, district, architectural, and community stakeholders to build consensus and facilitate change
  • Manage client renewals and relationships
  • Coordinate with support teams during project fulfillment to maintain client satisfaction
  • Develop product and learning experience expertise and position product information for customers
  • Travel 3+ days per week
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations
  • Complete sales reporting
  • Participate in trade shows and trade organizations for networking and professional development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Consultative selling style focused on qualifying prospects’ budget, authority, need, and timing
  • Self-starter able to work autonomously
  • At least 3 years of field sales experience with demonstrable results
  • K-12 education market experience is a plus
  • Ability and willingness to prospect for new business
  • Ability to efficiently manage a large account pipeline
  • Skills in prospecting, territory management, time management, presentations, negotiation, closing, problem solving, and customer service
  • Experience identifying, qualifying, and closing B2B deals ranging from $5,000 to over $50,000
  • Ability to think, plan, and act strategically
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to pass criminal background and drug screening
  • Strong skills in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, web searching, and other business applications
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds
