About the role
- Develop and maintain PLC programs using structured text (Mainly Codesys Platform for WAGO PLCs) Develop PLC-HMIs Hardware configuration of the PLC system, including input/output modules and communication interfaces Testing and debugging of PLC programs and systems to identify and resolve any issues or error. Perform remote and on-site commissioning of monitoring and control systems for photovoltaic power plants, mainly in Iberia region Collaborate with other engineers and technicians in the design and implementation of automation solutions Creating schematics and documentation
Requirements
- Training in engineering or a technical background related to industrial/energy automation Experience in PLC programming and HMI/SCADA solutions, preferably WAGO devices Experience in structured text (ST) Knowledge of industrial control and communication protocols (ModBus, IEC101, IEC102, IEC104 and automation systems) Knowledge of RTUs for protocol conversion, plant automation, power control, and other SCADA functionalities Knowledge of vba scripts Knowledge of computer networking principles, including TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, and routing and switching technologies Implement and help define network and cybersecurity measures Knowledge of Firewall configuratrion (Fortigate / Palo Alto) Ability to work in a team and independently Problem-solving and analytical skills Fluency in English, both written and spoken
