About the role

  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support reliable, cost‑effective supply of goods and services.
  • Prepare, process, and manage purchase orders and procurement requests in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Monitor stock levels and replenishment needs, including analysing slow‑moving, excess, or overstocked items and recommending actions.
  • Ensure DIFOT performance by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to maintain uninterrupted supply.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and purchasing data, including reports on purchasing activity, sales data, pricing, and supplier performance.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues in collaboration with Finance to ensure timely supplier payments.
  • Source alternative products, manage product recalls, and obtain samples in line with internal processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities across purchasing and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Strong background in inventory and purchasing management, ideally within food services, FMCG, supply chain, or similar environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and pride in producing quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) with solid analytical, mathematical, and problem‑solving ability.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and time‑management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of purchasing processes, supplier management, and basic finance or accounting principles.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and able to respond well to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Committed to delivering excellent customer service with a strong focus on productivity, quality, and safety.
