About the role
- Lead Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business goals, with a strong focus on Private Label and Fresh categories.
- Drive Innovation & Quality: Deliver initiatives that enhance product differentiation, quality, and compliance while supporting innovation.
- Build Supplier Partnerships: Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships to create long-term value and manage risk effectively.
- Negotiate Commercial Outcomes: Lead complex negotiations to secure optimal terms on cost, quality, service levels, and sustainability.
- Private Label Growth: Collaborate with Product Development and Brand teams to bring exclusive, high-quality products to market.
- Fresh Category Leadership: Oversee sourcing for categories, optimizing models to reduce waste and support local sourcing and sustainability.
- Commercial Excellence: Achieve cost savings and margin improvements through data-driven decisions and continuous process improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Merchandise, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment on product specifications and performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales operations leadership within a complex, high-growth environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Expertise in CRM systems and sales analytics tools to optimise performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to lead change and drive process improvements across teams.
- Demonstrated commercial experience and 5 years of people leadership (teams of 10+), ideally within a major retailer.
