About the role

  • Own and manage a portfolio of customer accounts, acting as the primary point of contact
  • Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) aligned to customer and Metcash strategies
  • Drive commercial outcomes including merchandising activations, campaigns, and digital initiatives
  • Provide advisory support across store operations including P&L, rostering, and compliance
  • Champion community programs, consumer promotions, and sustainability initiatives
  • Ensure adoption of Channel Standards, OEP, and FSA compliance
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver holistic customer support
  • Attend key seasonal events such as Expo and Easter activations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in account management, business development, or sales
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of retail economics (e.g., CODB, margin, pricing)
  • Experience working with multi-site or franchise retailers
  • Strategic relationship management and influencing skills
  • Ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A collaborative, proactive, and customer-focused mindset
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks and operational excellence
