Contract Management & Negotiation – Assists with drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial agreements. Ensures timely and accurate turnaround to support sales and operations.
Enterprise Risk Management – Assists with identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within the business and helps maintain compliance.
Corporate Insurance Oversight – Assists with reviewing policies and supports the renewal process.
Regulatory & Corporate Compliance – Assists with facilitating our internal compliance committees. Other responsibilities may include supporting corporate governance, providing legal advisory support to business units, help draft policies, and coordinate with external counsel on disputes and litigation.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of legal experience with a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar (at minimum inclusive of admission to the UT state bar).
General knowledge of corporate law, data privacy, IP law, employment law, and industry-specific regulations (HIPAA, FCRA, GLBA, GDPR, PIPEDA, UK DPA, TRID, US DOT).
Experience in contract lifecycle management systems and legal risk mitigation strategies.
Experience in employment law practice advising in-house HR staff is key.
Business acumen with the ability to align legal strategies to business outcomes. Excellent judgment, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
High personal integrity, discretion, and a collaborative, “can-do/own-it” mindset.
Strong analytical skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
