About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for product management and commercialization of MSD products
Evaluation of industry/customer trends and defining customer needs
Development of detailed product requirements for future products
Collaboration with cross-functional teams for product vision and strategy
Full lifecycle management of the product line including forecasting, pricing, and transitions to new product offerings
Monitor product performance, market trends, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
Partner with R&D to define product requirements and specifications
Support marketing collateral and training materials for product launches
Monitor the competitive environment for products and product lines
Cross-functional collaboration with Assay Development, Quality and Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in life science, marketing, communications, or a related field
Advanced degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in developing and commercializing products in Life Science Research or Clinical markets
Strong knowledge of product management best practices
Proven track record of success in positioning, managing, and marketing Life Science products
Demonstrated understanding of the principles of immunoassays
Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
Ability to build/foster relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
Ability to travel and work outside normal business hours occasionally
