About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for product management and commercialization of MSD products
  • Evaluation of industry/customer trends and defining customer needs
  • Development of detailed product requirements for future products
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams for product vision and strategy
  • Full lifecycle management of the product line including forecasting, pricing, and transitions to new product offerings
  • Monitor product performance, market trends, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
  • Partner with R&D to define product requirements and specifications
  • Support marketing collateral and training materials for product launches
  • Monitor the competitive environment for products and product lines
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Assay Development, Quality and Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in life science, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in developing and commercializing products in Life Science Research or Clinical markets
  • Strong knowledge of product management best practices
  • Proven track record of success in positioning, managing, and marketing Life Science products
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of immunoassays
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to build/foster relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to travel and work outside normal business hours occasionally
