About the role
- Select and use a variety of techniques for determining instructional content.
- Deliver curriculum to various levels of employees primarily through eLearning, with possible facilitation opportunities.
- Create engaging visual learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer of information.
- Write and revise scripts for eLearning content, including learning objectives and scenarios to shape learning needs.
- Record and edit video and audio for training and educational purposes.
- Visualize and develop instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product.
- Design and produce learning materials in various formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation, and multimedia to support learning needs.
- Create effective, fair assessment methods and exercises that foster the learners' development by providing opportunities to demonstrate their mastery of the learning objectives.
- Analyze the characteristics of existing and emerging technologies and apply their use in an instructional environment.
- Build relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and receive feedback.
- Confer with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies.
- Research industry standards and laws as well as analyze job roles to establish training guidelines for positions.
- Assist with the management and administration of SuccessFactors Learning LMS and other related systems to ensure the accuracy of training and development data.
- Follow and enforce all MERS/Goodwill policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred
- 1-2 years' work experience is required.
- Experience in learning software, web page editors, learning management systems, content authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate, and graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud is required.
- A valid state driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance are required.
- Interpersonal, communication and effective critical thinking skills are also required.
- Knowledge of instructional design and its impact on creating effective training programs is also required.
