About the role

  • Take responsibility for accounting for the companies assigned to you
  • Ensure monthly and annual financial statements are prepared in accordance with HGB (German GAAP)
  • Continuously develop financial processes
  • Act as the central point of contact for internal interfaces and subsidiaries
  • Own and manage exciting projects and special topics
  • Contribute decisively to an efficient and reliable finance function
  • Hold professional responsibility for the timely and accurate processing of all accounting transactions within your area of responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, deadlines and internal policies
  • Advise internal stakeholders and subsidiaries on accounting and financial reporting matters
  • Support and review monthly and annual financial statement preparation under HGB in a coordinating and supervisory role
  • Work closely with the executing accounting teams
  • Perform accounting valuation and support for projects and special topics, ensuring they are properly reflected in the financial records

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training (e.g., Industrial Clerk, Tax Clerk) or an equivalent qualification
  • Further qualification in accounting (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter / Certified Balance Sheet Accountant, Tax Advisor) or willingness to undertake such training
  • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience
  • Solid knowledge of HGB accounting (German GAAP)
  • Confident user of ERP systems, ideally SAP FI/CO, and very good MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • Good German and English language skills; willingness to travel occasionally
  • Analytical mindset with a structured and precise way of working
