About the role

Within three years you will qualify with us as an IT Specialist in System Integration — with theoretical training at the vocational college (Berufskolleg) in Düren or Cologne and practical experience in one of the MERKUR GROUP IT departments in Mechernich.
You will help the team provide all IT services: you will share responsibility for the effective functioning of servers, routers, switches and firewalls for various users.
As a trainee in system integration you will learn appropriate methods and solve challenges related to IT operations, design and administration.
In addition, you will learn how to set up cloud systems, configure web firewalls and web servers, commission hardware and software components, and work with scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
