About the role

  • Responsibility for designing, building and further developing the data architecture
  • Strategic advancement of the MERKUR GROUP's data architecture
  • Development of data governance policies
  • Ensuring high data quality and consistent standards
  • Modeling data products and structures in SAP DataSphere
  • Building modern, scalable data solutions
  • Coordinating and managing group-wide data and analytics projects
  • Acting as an interface between business units and IT on matters related to data models and architecture

Requirements

  • Completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in designing, modeling and implementing modern data architectures
  • Strong knowledge of the SAP analytics stack (DataSphere, SAC, BW, BPC)
  • Ideally complemented by expertise in cloud or big data platforms (e.g., Databricks)
  • Experience leading projects or a project management certification is an advantage
  • Analytical mindset, structured working style and a high sense of responsibility
  • Very good written and spoken German and good English skills
