About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take full responsibility for opening, trading and closing the venue in the absence of the Venue Manager/Assistant Manager
  • Maintain venue housekeeping to the highest possible standard, including cleaning gaming equipment, floors, walls and other surfaces
  • Issue customer change and control any allocated personal float according to company procedures
  • Assist with bingo, catering and other duties as required by the Venue/Duty Manager
  • Pay out for machine faults according to company procedures when authorised
  • Monitor customer actions and behaviour, report suspicious or disruptive behaviour to the Venue Manager
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and report potential hazards
  • Complete administration with 100% accuracy
  • Help ensure promotions run smoothly and successfully
  • Deliver customer service in line with company standards and achieve customer delight
  • Escalate customer complaints to management promptly
  • Maintain personal presentation and follow the Company dress code
  • Promote awareness of Responsible Gambling strategies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Flexible availability for a rota including weekends and Bank Holidays
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in a similar role in retail, hospitality or the gambling sector
  • Keen to learn and progress
  • Eager to support training others
  • Ability to be a role model for the team
  • Experience in cash handling
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Passion for providing first-class service
