About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise multiple Facilities Technicians according to market size
  • Manage technician territories and responsibilities for efficiency
  • Oversee technician workloads at assigned sites and within the CMMS platform, including scope, status, costs, labor, parts, quotes, and replacement needs
  • Approve technician timecards, credit card purchases, supply purchases, and stock purchases
  • Train, coach, and develop Facilities and Maintenance Technicians
  • Maintain relationships with internal customers, suppliers, and service providers
  • Oversee timely ordering and return of parts
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory and safe-work requirements
  • Ensure work orders and projects are completed promptly and to a high-quality standard
  • Provide facilities assessments and analyses covering existing conditions, facility/equipment issues, work-order status, completed work, next steps, and close-out actions
  • Communicate work-order updates and critical information verbally and in writing across organizational levels
  • Schedule technicians for on-call, off-hour, weekend, and holiday emergencies
  • Respond to emergency situations with appropriate urgency
  • Operate a company-issued fleet vehicle
  • Attend staff and other required meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of three years’ facilities experience required
  • QSR facilities experience highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of facilities operations
  • Basic trade skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, commercial cooking equipment, appliance repair, and basic HVAC/refrigeration
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and applicable safety precautions
  • Knowledge of supervisory techniques
  • Ability to plan, develop, and monitor work schedules
  • Ability to oversee and inspect facility projects
  • Ability to monitor adherence to departmental goals, including budget
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose facilities issues
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide leadership to Technicians
  • Valid Driver’s License without work restrictions; must pass MVR screening
  • Ability to work 45–50 hours weekly
  • Ability to perform physical demands including lifting, climbing, standing, moving, walking, pushing, crawling, stooping, squatting, and repetitive arm motion
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry materials weighing up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work around hazardous equipment, contaminants, dust, inclement weather, temperature/humidity changes, radiation, fumes/vapors, sharp instruments/tools, hazardous liquids, and operating machinery
