About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Compliance Office in administering Merit’s Global Compliance Policy
  • Monitor and enforce Merit’s Corporate Integrity Agreement
  • Act as a liaison with all Merit employees seeking to engage with healthcare professionals (“HCPs”)
  • Participate in and provide compliance support for projects and initiatives with moderate to high risk
  • Identify, assess and mitigate compliance risk in business activities
  • Identify, document and report findings and issues to the Chief Compliance Officer or Regional Compliance Manager
  • Interact with Merit personnel in the creation of HCP Needs Assessments
  • Manage and approve physician engagements and marketing events
  • Coordinate with Marketing in managing annual HCP budgets
  • Manage ongoing screening of contractors with a working knowledge of onboarding and due diligence best practices
  • Assist in the maintenance of centralized, online tracking tools for engaging with and supervising HCP consultants
  • Manage the tracking, data aggregation, and reporting of transfers of value to health care providers
  • Enhance and maintain online distributor training on anti-corruption laws and practices
  • Maintain the ethical and professional standards of the compliance profession in the business environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree
  • Two years of related experience, such as in the legal or regulatory fields
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically
  • Strong technical aptitude and business systems management experience
  • Self-motivated independent worker
  • Perform to a high level of accuracy in all tasks, attention to details
  • Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Demonstrated computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs
