About the role
- Work with the Employee Training and Development Partner and other business resources to conduct needs analysis to identify learning objectives and appropriate training design\n
- Develop storyboards, scripts, and prototypes for computer-based learning content\n
- Design instructional materials, including instructor-led training, job aids, and assessments\n
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design models to create effective learning experiences\n
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) from across the business to gather content, ensure accuracy and that the learning meets outlined objectives\n
- Perform quality assurance on learning materials for clarity, engagement, and accessibility\n
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and analytics; recommend improvements\n
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in instructional design\n
- Manage courses in Learning Management System (LMS)\n
- Instructional Design & Development\n
- Conduct needs assessments in partnership with the Employee Training and Development Partner and business stakeholders to identify learning objectives and appropriate instructional strategies\n
- Design and develop engaging learning content including eLearning modules, instructor-led training, job aids, and assessments using instructional design best practices and adult learning principles\n
- Create storyboards, scripts, and prototypes for digital learning experiences\n
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure instructional accuracy and relevance\n
- Apply accessibility standards and inclusive design principles to all learning materials\n
- Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure clarity, consistency, and learner engagement\n
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, learner feedback, and performance metrics\n
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance learning outcomes and user experience\n
- LMS Administration\n
- Manage and maintain courses, learning paths, and user data within the Learning Management System (LMS)\n
- Monitor course performance and learner progress using LMS analytics and reporting tools\n
- Troubleshoot LMS issues and provide technical support to users as needed\n
- Ensure compliance with eLearning standards such as SCORM and xAPI\n
- Support LMS upgrades, integrations, and configuration changes in collaboration with IT and vendor partners\n
- Stay current with trends in instructional design, learning technologies, and LMS capabilities
Requirements
- Career-development professional within the subject area\n
- Requires moderate skill set and proficiency in the subject area \n
- Ability to conduct work assignments of increasing complexity under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment\n
- Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience\n
- Teamwork attitude, flexibility, and ability to manage different responsibilities/priorities at the same time\n
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.\n
- Strong understanding of SCORM, xAPI, and other eLearning standards.\n
- Experience with LMS administration, including course setup, user management, and reporting.\n
- Knowledge of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning theory.\n
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.\n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
