About the role

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive pipeline generation strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunities, target industries, and potential customer segments to increase the company's market share and drive revenue growth.
  • Utilize market research and data-driven insights to identify potential leads and optimize lead generation efforts.
  • Build, train, and manage a high-performing team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) responsible for prospecting, lead qualification, and initial customer engagement.
  • Motivate and mentor the BDR team to consistently achieve and exceed their performance targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to align business development efforts with sales goals and marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze business development KPIs and metrics regularly to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide detailed reports and presentations to the executive team, highlighting the team's performance, pipeline status, and actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in Business Development within the SaaS industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and motivating a team of business development professionals.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, market trends, and customer needs.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ever-evolving startup environment.
