About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations
- Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information
- Use proper patient positioning tools and ergonomic scanning techniques
- Apply independent judgment during the sonography examination
- Review examination images to meet QA standards and provide preliminary reports
- Assist radiologist and/or other providers with procedures
- Assist with the education and training of sonography students and physician residents
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Minimum One (1) to Three (3) years of experience preferred
- ARDMS or ARRT sonography registered or registry eligible
- Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
