About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manages, trains, and evaluates Automation Coordinators, Sterile Products Coordinators, and Diversion Coordinators
- Coordinates work schedules, delegates projects and tracks performance metrics.
- Completes employee evaluations and feedback in a timely manner.
- Directs building, testing, and maintenance of pharmacy automation systems for optimization and upgrades
- Ensures USP and USP compliance and sterile IV room workflows are optimized
- Leads diversion monitoring, reporting, and investigation processes
- Develops and oversees technician training and competency programs
- Collaborates with Digital Technology Services (DTS), Nursing, and other cross-functional leadership on system improvements
- Develops policies, ensures compliance, and drives quality improvement initiatives
- Analyzes current workflows and recommends technology-driven solutions to improve patient safety, streamlining medication distribution, and reducing waste
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 8 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- 3 years pharmacy experience
- Previous leadership experience (preferred)
- Previous project management experience (preferred)
- Pharmacy Technician license in state of practice
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or certification through NHA required
