About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set daily priorities, monitor accounts not coded
Train and support coding specialists in assigning diagnoses and procedure codes for billing and statistical purposes
Supervise, hire, train, onboard, evaluate, and develop staff through professional development, performance feedback, and coaching
Develop reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
Promote an environment of teamwork and service excellence within the department
Ensure coordination of coding between HIM and chargemaster
Assist in coding-related denial resolution
Plan, develop and deploy coding education across the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Business Administration, etc.)
7-10 years of experience within revenue cycle operations
5-7 years supervisory experience with proven ability to oversee subordinates
Certification in billing or coding (e.g. RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CPC-H)
Ability to think independently and have a high degree of analytical and trouble-shooting skills required
