About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervises, hires, trains and evaluates staff
  • Conducts employee reviews, presenting and discussing pertinent review findings and recommendations with partner.
  • Reviews data and develops reports and other tools to identify areas for improvement and to set and track benchmarks.
  • Meets goals set by Director related to Patient Access
  • Revises, develops and implements policies and procedures to maintain proper workflow within the revenue cycle, focusing on front-end operations
  • Assures compliance with and ensures that regulatory systems/processes are in place
  • Works with system-wide department leadership to educate and promote efficiencies in Patient Access
  • Responds to partner and patient issues regarding Patient Access
  • Manages special projects related to improved processes within Patient Access for both hospital and clinic services

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred; MHA or MBA desired.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in applicable healthcare fields of patient access and revenue cycle operations.
  • Supervisory experience with proven ability to oversee subordinates.
  • Thorough knowledge of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and Joint Commission (JCAHO) regulations affecting and/or driving Patient Access processes.
  • Expert knowledge of insurance plans and coverage requirements.
