About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supervises, hires, trains and evaluates staff
Conducts employee reviews, presenting and discussing pertinent review findings and recommendations with partner.
Reviews data and develops reports and other tools to identify areas for improvement and to set and track benchmarks.
Meets goals set by Director related to Patient Access
Revises, develops and implements policies and procedures to maintain proper workflow within the revenue cycle, focusing on front-end operations
Assures compliance with and ensures that regulatory systems/processes are in place
Works with system-wide department leadership to educate and promote efficiencies in Patient Access
Responds to partner and patient issues regarding Patient Access
Manages special projects related to improved processes within Patient Access for both hospital and clinic services

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred; MHA or MBA desired.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in applicable healthcare fields of patient access and revenue cycle operations.
Supervisory experience with proven ability to oversee subordinates.
Thorough knowledge of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and Joint Commission (JCAHO) regulations affecting and/or driving Patient Access processes.
Expert knowledge of insurance plans and coverage requirements.
