About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for multiple facets of patient account coordination including insurance/benefit verification, denials management, and collections
  • Provide training to new and existing staff on policies, protocols, systems, standards, techniques
  • Serve as a liaison to management, communicating clear instructions to the team
  • Assist patients in enrolling in assistance programs
  • Monitor services rendered and billing assistance programs for applicable funds
  • Conduct random quality control checks on all aspects of work produced by the team
  • Supervise the continued growth of employees to meet departmental needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Some college hours in business, finance and/or accounting related courses preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years related experience required
  • Interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills required
  • Ability to work in stressful situations and meet deadlines
  • Ability to use logic, good judgment and be able to rapidly identify and initiate corrective action when problems arise
  • Effective communication skills providing good written and oral direction to co-workers
  • Ability to deal effectively with VBO management and co-workers in demanding situations
