About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct reviews of inpatient medical records
  • Identify missing, vague, and/or incomplete components
  • Communicate the need for additional documentation to clinical providers

  • Provide data reports and educational support for documentation elements
  • Support initiatives to improve documentation quality by caregivers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • RN, BSN, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CIC, CCDS, or CDIP education
  • 3 years CDI experience and 1 year in nursing, inpatient coding, UM, CM, Quality, or related field
  • Proficiency in data analysis, detailed data presentation, and clinical documentation
  • Strong clinical knowledge and ability to identify diagnoses
  • Extensive knowledge of disease processes and clinical outcomes
  • Experience with EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including typing ability
