About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Works closely with the Regional Executive Director to design and execute a comprehensive development strategy for major and planned gift prospects for the regional Mercy Health Foundations
Solicits for hospital programs capital campaign gifts and ongoing fundraising efforts
Works with Mercy physicians as part of the grateful patient program
Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree
Minimum three to five years of successful principal and major gifts experience
Demonstrate experience in effectively working with all levels of leadership and staff
Demonstrate success in soliciting major gifts (gifts of $10,000+)
Experience securing philanthropic support for a hospital or health system
Preferred Certification/Registration: CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive)
Possesses strong analytical skills
Strategic approach to problem-solving
Personable presence, demeanor and the desire to work face-to-face with the external community, including volunteers and donor prospects
Willingness and ability to learn and utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Raiser's Edge
Strong attention to detail, with an outstanding ability to multi-task
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
