About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Partner Operations Specialists through feedback, clear expectations, and career development.
Build operational frameworks for existing and future product partnerships across Banking and Expansion.
Improve documentation, knowledge management, and communication systems.
Lead organizational change initiatives involving processes, tooling, and operating models.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Customer Support, and external banking partners on operational challenges.
Establish performance metrics for operational health, partner experience, and team effectiveness.
Drive strategic planning, prioritization, and resource allocation.
Champion scalable tooling and workflows, including Linear and other operational systems.
Advocate for the team and create stakeholder alignment.
Help shape Mercury’s long-term product partnership ecosystem strategy.

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of experience leading operational programs at a fintech, financial institution, or similarly complex, highly regulated environment.
3+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
Demonstrated success partnering with Product, Engineering, Design, cross-functional business leaders, and executives on strategic initiatives.
Experience leading operational change management and building alignment across stakeholders with competing priorities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Track record designing scalable operational systems that reduce complexity and bottlenecks.
Ability to balance long-term strategic initiatives with time-sensitive operational priorities.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities calmly.
Motivation to leverage tools, automation, and process design.
Ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Strong focus on operational quality and durable solutions.
