About the role
- Creating and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture.
- Enterprise pipeline orchestration set up administration (AWS Glue, Airflow, Fivetran)
- Assembling large, complex data sets that meet functional & non-functional business requirements.
- Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
- Building the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using relevant technologies.
- Working with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Securing the data within our environment.
- Working with our analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
- Building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
- Maintaining our data model.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Data Engineering is required.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases is required.
- Experience working with SQL Server is required.
- Experience working with Python for at least 3 years’ is required.
- Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets is required.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement is required.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of Salesforce data structure is preferred.
- Knowledge of working in Azure is preferred.
