Technical Services Analyst
mercedesTechnical Analyst diagnosing and resolving automotive electronic and communication issues for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Collaborating with global teams, providing support, and ensuring quality solutions for complex mechanical challenges.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a technical reference for diagnosing and resolving complex issues in commercial vehicles.
- Investigate advanced technical faults related to vehicle electronics, embedded systems, communication networks and vehicle electronic architecture.
- Analyze and resolve high-complexity incidents, reducing the need to escalate to Engineering teams.
- Provide specialized technical support to after-sales consultants and other internal departments.
- Serve as one of the organization's primary sources of technical product knowledge.
- Regularly interact with global teams, especially in Germany, to investigate and resolve technical issues related to vehicle electronics, diagnostics, parameterization, coding and embedded systems.
- Perform structured analyses, identify root causes and propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Interpret diagnostic data, wiring diagrams, configuration parameters, fault codes and technical information from vehicle electronic systems.
- Share technical knowledge and support the dissemination of best practices related to products and electronic systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical support, diagnostics and after-sales processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical, Automation or related fields;
- Experience in activities related to automotive diagnostics, analysis and fault resolution;
- Experience in after-sales, technical service, manufacturing, vehicle validation or related areas within the automotive segment;
- Advanced English with strong verbal and written communication skills for frequent interaction with international teams, especially in Germany;
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
- **Technical Knowledge:**
- Experience in advanced product technical support.
- Solid knowledge of vehicle electronics and embedded systems.
- Knowledge of vehicle communication networks, with emphasis on CAN (Controller Area Network).
- Experience using automotive diagnostic tools.
- Experience with parameterization, coding, flashing and functional testing on vehicles.
- Ability to diagnose electronic systems and vehicle communication networks.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, functional schematics and fault codes.
- Experience in analysis of electronic failures, communication between modules and embedded systems.
- Capability to understand the operation of embedded electronic systems, their communication strategies, parameterizations and module interactions.
- Capability to analyze complex problems using diagnostic information, technical data, configuration parameters and electronic system behavior.
