About the role
- Monitor developments, analyze the impact of changes and ensure the company remains compliant with new legislation, identifying opportunities for tax efficiency;
- Ensure the accuracy of indirect tax calculations, monthly reporting and payments to government authorities;
- Meet tight deadlines to settle ancillary obligations (SPEDs, for example) as well as primary obligations with government agencies;
- Perform the monthly accounting reconciliation process related to tax accounts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics and/or related fields;
- Intermediate spoken English (will be assessed);
- Experience with tax matters in industrial companies (preferably in the automotive or metallurgy sectors);
- Solid experience in calculating indirect taxes (practical knowledge of VAT, IPI, PIS, COFINS and ISS) and in preparing ancillary obligations;
- Knowledge of Tax Reform legislation;
- Knowledge of SPED Fiscal, EFD Contribuições, GIA and state-specific obligations;
- Familiarity with tax incentives, special regimes, presumed credits and government incentives (e.g., Prodeic, Prodepe, Fomentar, etc.);
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, TOTVS, etc.) – tax module.
