About the role
- Work with the sales team to understand customer’s specific needs and objectives.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, as needed.
- Manage knowledge transfer from Sales to the Implementation team and from Implementation team to Support.
- In accordance with the Merge Healthcare Imaging Implementation Methodology ensure timely and effective delivery of the solution.
- Create/maintain a project plan and project scope documentation.
- Identify, document, quantify, communicate and mitigate project risks and escalate as required.
- Establish a clear communication plan with customer and internal project team members including regular conference calls and documented status updates.
- Coordinate and schedule project resources ensuring all project resources are efficiently utilized on the project based on scheduling and time reporting systems.
- Identify and assist in the resolution of technical and operational issues related to the implementation of the solution.
- Attend and assist with customer Go-Live and subsequent transition to Service and Support.
- Leverage knowledge of Merge Healthcare Imaging Solutions and clinical workflow/business needs to help customer manage change and optimize the effectiveness of their solution.
- Provide documented project status to the Professional Services Executive or designated manager/lead.
- Work directly with all departments within Merge Healthcare Imaging as the customer advocate ensuring a clinical focus is brought to the development, sales, logistics, professional services and support processes.
- Work with management to develop and evolve processes/practices within the Mere Healthcare Imaging Implementation Team.
- Provide mentoring/training for other team members.
- Pursues a program of self-development through the use of selected reading, seminars, and participation in continuing education.
- Identifies and communicates possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers.
- Is responsible for maintaining up-to-date and accurate project data for internal reporting and forecasting purposes.
- Additionally be responsible for driving, managing to, and forecasting a revenue target for their projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.
Requirements
- 8 years experience as a demonstrated project manager with oversight for large-scale or multiple time sensitive projects
- Strong knowledge of appropriate clinical service line (i.e., Cardiology, Radiology, Oncology, etc.) workflow and business drivers.
- Minimum BA, BS, BSc or MBA degree or comparable job experience in medical imaging or healthcare IT systems
- Masters degree a plus
- Preferred professional certifications: PMP or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Microsoft Project.
- General IT knowledgeable with respect to network, security, PC management, redundancy/backup systems, web deployment and general hardware configuration and scalability.
