About the role

  • Independent handling of fixed asset accounting for the company headquarters in Erkrath and for our subsidiaries
  • Handling and clarification of VAT-related matters
  • Preparation of VAT advance returns and EC Sales List (ZM) reports
  • Provisions, periodic accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Review of the general ledger and material ledger
  • Processing of the general ledger and sub-ledgers for our subsidiary
  • Assistance in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Participation in special topics and projects

Requirements

  • Completed training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte) or equivalent qualification
  • Several years (at least 3 years) of professional experience in accounting
  • Solid knowledge of VAT law
  • Knowledge of accounting under HGB and of tax law
  • Confident user of MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Experience with proALPHA is an advantage
  • Independent and structured way of working and openness to new challenges
