About the role
- Work with students to help them improve and develop the skills needed for day to day life and work, according to the students’ IEPs.
- Provide educational direction and support for students at times of confusion, frustration & emotional upset.
- Develop and update IEP goals and progress reports for student caseload.
- Provide Occupational Therapy related service minutes and carry out individual treatment plans, as dictated on the IEP.
- Maintain accurate related service logs updated weekly.
- Coordinate and communicate with administrative staff, teachers, and other related service staff as needed or IEP directed.
- Follow school schedule: 7:30-3:00 pm, Monday-Friday, following a school calendar; therapeutic day school opening August 2025 in Reeds Spring, MO.
Requirements
- COTA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with IDFPR (or proof of application)
- Ability to work with students with ED/BD/OHI/Autism/TBI/OHI
