About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support both early project feasibility and downstream permitting for various tenant improvement projects.
- Research jurisdictional requirements and identify entitlement and permitting risks.
- Develop permit pathways and assemble submittal requirements.
- Coordinate agency and landlord approvals and track permit packages.
- Work with the project team to understand feasibility and approval timing.
- Drive permit readiness, submission coordination, comments tracking, and final permit closeout.
- Support the architectural team with minor plan revisions based on agency review comments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong understanding of commercial project due diligence, permit expediting, and jurisdictional approval processes.
- Working familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
- Working knowledge of planning, zoning, building, fire, health, signage, accessibility, and related agency processes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawing sets, consultant drawings, lease exhibits, and agency comments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple permit logs and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail in research and document collection.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based project/document management systems.
