About the role
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of the technical department (approx. 8 employees)
- Technical assessment of customer enquiries regarding manufacturability and production costs
- Optimization of existing processes
- Analysis of technical workflows, development of efficiency improvements and implementation of new technologies
- Planning of new, innovative and cost-efficient processes
- Ensuring compliance with operational procedures, standards and technical regulations
- Process planning, procurement of machines and materials
- Preparation of process and work instructions
- Project & investment management: planning and evaluation of technical projects and investments in the machinery fleet
- Regular coordination with Sales, Production and Maintenance.
Requirements
- Completed technical degree or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience
- Excellent technical understanding in the field of metalworking and heat treatment
- Leadership experience and strong team skills
- Very good knowledge of planning processes and the requirements of the automotive supplier industry
- Assertiveness, high level of commitment, flexibility and sense of responsibility
- Hands-on mentality
- Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and customers
- Good command of English.
