About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own end-to-end field execution of the MIT (Manager-in-Training) program across the assigned region, from participant launch through certification
  • Coach MIT participants, identify skill gaps, and partner with GMs to close them
  • Track MIT cohort progress, completion rates, promotion outcomes, and post-certification performance; present regional scorecards
  • Facilitate regional leadership workshops, skill-building sessions, Train the Trainer programs, and cohort-based learning experiences
  • Own coordination, facilitation, attendance tracking, and effectiveness measurement for regional training events
  • Establish a regional learning calendar and refine programming based on participation and satisfaction data
  • Partner with 6–7 Directors of Operations on development priorities, pipeline health, store challenges, and L&D support prioritization
  • Identify stores with people challenges, conduct needs assessments, create action plans, and execute targeted support interventions
  • Monitor regional store health trends and escalate risks to the VP of Talent Management
  • Provide field feedback, pilot programs, and recommend content improvements to the L&D team
  • Use LMS data, assessment results, and DO feedback to identify capability gaps and contribute to annual training effectiveness reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of leadership experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Multi-unit, training, or field L&D experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to drive measurable results across a large geography by working through others
  • Experience facilitating management-level training, leadership development workshops, or cohort-based learning programs for experienced operators
  • Proven ability to build trust-based partnerships with operations leaders
  • Experience using training and operational data to prioritize decisions and report on outcomes
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Strategic and data-driven approach
  • Operational credibility with Directors of Operations and General Managers
  • Clear, confident communication across organizational levels
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and LMS platforms; comfort adopting new digital tools
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel significantly within the assigned region
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during restaurant visits
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit or stand for 6–8 hours
  • Ability to perform grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
