About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and advocate for Mendo’s design vision: design system, UX principles, guidelines. You create coherence across the product
- Manage and grow the design guild: craft feedback, skills development, attention to detail and operational excellence
- Define and maintain the team’s design standards: best practices, review processes, deliverable quality, and rigorous handoffs
- Work closely with PMs to turn product opportunities into seamless, activating, and measurable experiences
- Lead and structure user research (usability testing, interviews, shadowing, usage analysis) and embed it as a reflex within the guild
- Design end-to-end journeys that guide users to value within our clients’ AI platforms
- Evolve the Mendo design system to ensure scalability, consistency, and speed of execution
- Represent the user’s voice in product decisions: challenge trade-offs and defend the experience against business and technical constraints
- Measure the impact of your design choices using the right metrics (activation rate, funnel completion, NPS, retention)
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of Product Design experience on a complex, high-usage tech product, including experience in design management or leadership (lead, senior+, guild lead…)
- Experience in a high-growth startup/scale-up, ideally on a B2B SaaS product
- Impeccable craft: your mockups, systems, and prototypes speak for themselves
- A strong design system mindset: you know how to build, maintain, and drive adoption across a team
- Active familiarity with new design processes in the era of AI: you’ve already integrated tools and methods reshaping the field today (UI generation, prompt-to-design, AI in Figma workflows…) and you’re passionate about them
- Ability to develop others: you give constructive feedback, set standards, and create a culture of excellence within a team
- Impact- and measurement-oriented mindset: you design for outcomes, not just deliverables
- Comfortable working closely with engineering teams: you speak their language, integrate naturally into development cycles, and understand that final quality depends on this collaboration
- Excellent communication skills (FR / EN)
