Key responsibilities & impact

Provide high quality medical nutrition therapy to patients and clients
Assessment of nutritional needs, provision of medical nutrition therapy and nutrition education
Function on a multi-disciplinary team as a resource to the physician staff and others
May participate in community service by providing nutrition education to various groups or individuals outside the hospital

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition or related area
Master's required if registration was obtained after Jan 1, 2024
Registered with the ADA Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensed with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
CPR Certification from either American Red Cross or American Heart Association or obtained within six (6) months of hire
Completion of a qualified professional experience required for the registered dietitian exam administered by the ADA Commission on Dietetic Registration
Effective oral and written communication skills
