About the role
- Scheduling patient appointments, ensuring medical necessity compliance, verifying eligibility, and posting payments
- Float between SMR Willowbrook and SMR Spring Convenient Care Center
- Candidate must be flexible to come in as early as 7am and stay as late as 6pm
- Explains all required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtains the necessary signatures
- Ensures medical necessity compliance by communicating information to patient or guarantor
- Protects the financial integrity of the facility by collecting patient liability and establishing payment arrangements
- Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits and completes notifications and authorizations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Two (2) years of experience in a hospital or customer service setting
- Ability to multi-task
- Proficient typing/keyboarding skills
