About the role

  • Analyses the P&L of the business units to optimise results and achieve objectives.
  • Performs control functions within the business units.
  • Responsible together with the Managing Director and Business Partner for managing the destination P&L.
  • Provides vision, knowledge and input on the particularities of the area and supporting for the implementation of the vision and financial functions.
  • Supervises the correct implementation of Administration duties and ensures that financial statements for the area are accurate as a basis for appropriate decision-making.
  • Consolidate and analyse feedback received from hotels in their area of responsibility about needs and opportunities.
  • Advises the business, providing an overall vision to the different departments, supporting them in the decision-making process and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyses relevant information (financial or otherwise) from operational departments in order to maximise results.
  • Proactively aims to improve profitability in the business units in their area, detecting synergies and maximising results.
  • Ensures the correct opening or disaffiliation of business units within their area from the point of view of the Administration and Dry Storage functions.
  • For new hotel openings, implements procedures, manages duties specified in the contract and controls the pre-opening budget.
  • Supervises and coordinate the preparation of revenue and expense budgets for hotels under their responsibility, following the guidelines received from the company.
  • Ensures compliance with budget in hotels under their responsibility by monitoring the achievement of KPIs and objectives, analysing trends in actual results and identifying and anticipating risks and opportunities that may arise.
  • Ensures the correct implementation of the monthly close of accounts in the business units.
  • Implements the forecasting and reforecasting process in the area together with the rest of the executive committee, analysing the evolution of the actual data and future trends as well as developing different scenarios.
  • Analyses the reason for deviations and supports the implementation of corrective actions in business units.
  • Supervises compliance with the regulations, processes and procedures for hotel administration in their area (control function).
  • Supervises the results of internal audits and the implementation of action plans with regard to any incidents reported.
  • Monitors talented members of the teams under their responsibility to support the search for operational talent.
  • Supervises and ensures proper internal control within the hotels.
  • Analyses investment at the business units and Business Cases to determine their viability.
  • Monitors the projects carried out and investments made within their business units to ensure that the commitments that were made are met.
  • Prepares the annual accounts for the companies and coordinates the external audit process.
  • Prepare the annual budget and forecast for the companies.
  • Assists in the preparation and monitoring of the cash budget for the group companies under their responsibility.
  • Supervises compliance with tax obligations and assists in the management of possible inspections by the tax authorities.
  • Identifies and proposes improvements to administration functions to optimise efficiency in their work and in the work done by the administration team under their responsibility.

  • Fluent English in both speaking and writing
  • At least 3 years in the same position in hospitality.
  • Internal candidates: at least 2 years experience in the same position in hotel(s) of similar category and services.
