About the role
- Supports the team by processing and handling time-sensitive documents and patient requests
- Not primarily phone-based; focuses on backend administrative tasks
- Ensures support for team members managing direct phone lines to assist patients effectively
- Coordinates, validates, and delivers consumer specific requests
- Analyzes consumer mail or itemized billings for accuracy
- Processes all internal correspondence and account updates
- Analyzes accounts to resolve balance discrepancies and post payments and adjustments
- Verifies insurance eligibility
- Inspects bankruptcy notifications
- Processes itemized statements and settlement offers
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED
- Excellent computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with Epic EHR system (Preferred)
- Administrative experience (Preferred)
- Knowledge of HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance, and FDCPA (Preferred)
