About the role

  • Supports the team by processing and handling time-sensitive documents and patient requests
  • Not primarily phone-based; focuses on backend administrative tasks
  • Ensures support for team members managing direct phone lines to assist patients effectively
  • Coordinates, validates, and delivers consumer specific requests
  • Analyzes consumer mail or itemized billings for accuracy
  • Processes all internal correspondence and account updates
  • Analyzes accounts to resolve balance discrepancies and post payments and adjustments
  • Verifies insurance eligibility
  • Inspects bankruptcy notifications
  • Processes itemized statements and settlement offers

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with Epic EHR system (Preferred)
  • Administrative experience (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance, and FDCPA (Preferred)
