About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell and integrate Spine Enabling Technologies into spine surgery
  • Drive account penetration and adoption among new users at assigned spinal accounts
  • Maintain awareness of local competitive conditions and report to the AiBLE Area Manager
  • Manage day-to-day Spine Enabling Technologies strategic sales initiatives
  • Execute regionally focused sales and performance activities
  • Collaborate with spinal sales regions, districts and territories
  • Create regional sales growth plans and execute them to meet or exceed company AOP
  • Identify prospective new users with Spinal Sales Representatives
  • Drive surgeon conversion to Spine Enabling Technologies procedures
  • Seek new customers and formulate follow-up plans
  • Attend surgical evaluations of Spine Enabling Technologies procedures
  • Serve as a Spine-based technical resource for core spine representatives
  • Collaborate with Spinal Sales Representatives and District Managers on local projects and programs
  • Conduct field training for the Core Spine Sales Force
  • Support sales and marketing plans and objectives
  • Attend sales meetings, training programs, conventions and trade shows
  • Conduct hands-on training for core spine representatives, physicians and hospital staff
  • Train residents and fellows at academic institutions
  • Complete MBO requirements and periodic reporting
  • Provide clinical resources for surgeons, clinicians and trainees
  • Participate in customer training at designated sites
  • Apply knowledge of key literature and competitive lateral devices in the U.S.
  • Conduct business ethically and comply with Medtronic and Neuroscience policies
  • Drive to multiple accounts throughout the region and travel outside the territory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical device, Medtech, healthcare or life sciences; or Associates Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Must reside within the assigned territory
  • Valid driver's license
  • Active vehicle insurance policy
  • Driving record will be reviewed
  • Travel is required
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment
  • 3 years of experience focused on the lateral spine procedure (preferred)
  • Intra-op support of extensive lateral fusion surgeries (preferred)
  • Extensive cadaveric experience with lateral spine procedures (preferred)
  • Experience training sales consultants and physicians (preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (preferred)
  • Good interpersonal skills (preferred)
  • Ability to formulate strategies, tactics and action plans (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (preferred)
  • Ability to influence key decision makers (preferred)
  • For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
