About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform installations, inspections, verification, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance for EP Technologies Affera systems
  • Maintain and submit technical records and documentation according to regulatory requirements
  • Provide field experience information to office colleagues and update the database
  • Contribute to service processes, service documentation, procedures, and continuous improvement
  • Provide input to Engineering and Manufacturing for Affera product upgrades
  • Participate in developing and delivering technical training to distributors, partners, agents, and qualified customer representatives
  • Participate in design improvement discussions to facilitate new product introductions
  • Investigate, analyze, and identify trends in technical data related to Affera products
  • Participate in special projects requested by the U.S. Field Service Manager or designee
  • Provide technical training to physicians, EP technicians, and department managers at customer sites
  • Serve as the primary technical representative for EP Technologies Affera customers and sales and clinical teams
  • Perform technical assessment, installation, support, servicing, maintenance, and de-installation at customer sites
  • Provide technical assistance to physicians or technologists during clinical procedures
  • Collaborate with Field Service, Technical Service, Marketing, Quality, Production, and Engineering teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 4 years of technical, clinical field service, technical internship, or clinical customer support experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline preferred
  • Ability to apply electrical, mechanical, thermodynamic, and biomedical engineering principles to troubleshooting
  • Ability to troubleshoot and technically diagnose medical equipment
  • Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to travel frequently, including possible international locations
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and work without direct supervision
  • Extensive direct, face-to-face customer contact and interaction
  • Ability to work closely with customers, listen to issues, and develop plans to increase confidence and satisfaction with Affera products and services
  • For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
  • Must reside within the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and other assigned territory; preferably within a 60-minute drive of Trenton, NJ
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization required at hire and throughout employment for roles below Principal level
