About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build a foundation in Cardiac Rhythm Management device sales through a two-three year training program
- Complete clinical and technical training
- Represent Medtronic during surgeries and product implants
- Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance
- Support device reprogramming, follow-ups, troubleshooting, and follow-up enrollments in hospitals and clinics
- Provide on-call support for surgeries, reprogramming, troubleshooting, and follow-ups during evenings and weekends
- Educate physicians and allied healthcare professionals on products and therapies
- Train allied healthcare professionals and provide train-the-trainer resources
- Complete the sales training process
- Document implants, cases, Salesforce.com activity, and mStar activity
- Update sales representatives on cases and promptly escalate issues requiring follow-up
- Serve as a Medtronic representative to physicians and support staff
- Manage consignment, trunk, district-office, and loaner-product inventories
- Support product rotation and delivery
- Promote CareLink enrollments at implants
- Request and obtain purchase orders after implants
- Conduct regular unsolicited calls to hospitals and clinics
- Maintain knowledge of Medtronic therapies, programs, products, services, and competitors
- Maintain communication with Medtronic personnel and customers
- Perform sales responsibilities for assigned accounts
- Apply for open sales territories throughout the United States during the third year
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of sales experience
- Willingness to relocate for training and after the three-year training period
- Ability to work with customers from varying backgrounds
- Willingness and availability to work or travel weekends and evenings
- Ability to provide on-call support
- Ability to communicate continuously verbally and in writing
- Ability to transport products and equipment from a car to a hospital
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for eight-plus hours per day
- Ability to travel extensively with ease
- Ability to drive approximately 80% of the time within the assigned territory
- Valid driver’s license
- Active vehicle insurance policy
- Driving record subject to review
- Ability to reside within the assigned territory
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire and throughout employment
- For foreign baccalaureate degrees, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
