About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a trusted thought partner and operational extension of the Chief Medical Officer
- Anticipate cross-functional priorities, risks, and opportunities across strategy, clinical, medical affairs, and regulatory initiatives
- Manage the CMO’s complex global calendar and optimize executive priorities
- Resolve scheduling conflicts, sequence engagements, and ensure preparation for decision-making forums
- Gatekeep requests and communications
- Coordinate Structural Heart leadership meetings, operating reviews, and governance forums
- Prepare briefing materials, executive summaries, and decision documents
- Track strategic initiatives, action items, and cross-functional commitments
- Support administrative and operational aspects of clinical development and medical affairs activities
- Coordinate materials for advisory boards, investigator meetings, regulatory interactions, and audits
- Maintain oversight of confidential clinical, medical, and regulatory documentation
- Coordinate between the CMO and global Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, R&D/Engineering, Quality & Compliance, and Commercial/Market Access teams
- Draft, edit, and manage executive communications, presentations, and internal updates
- Manage sensitive communications
- Manage complex global travel logistics and international itineraries
- Oversee expense management and administrative compliance
- Anticipate and mitigate logistical challenges
- Handle sensitive clinical, physician relationship, and regulatory strategy information while maintaining confidentiality and compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years of experience supporting senior executives, including ELT, OLT, CMO, Chief Scientific Officer, or R&D executive leadership
- Experience working in a large, complex medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical organization
- 8–10 years of experience in cardiovascular, interventional cardiology, or Structural Heart strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Structural Heart therapies, including TAVR, TMVR, and transcatheter repair/replacement technologies
- Experience supporting clinical trials, medical affairs, or regulatory interactions
- Exposure to global product lifecycle management in MedTech
- Executive presence interacting at Board and ELT levels
- Exceptional executive-level judgment and organizational agility
- Strong business and clinical acumen with ability to synthesize complex information
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, matrixed, global environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and executive collaboration tools
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment; sponsorship is not offered for roles below Principal level
