About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage achievement of unit and revenue goals for Coronary products and CathWorks in an assigned district
- Assist the district and region in achieving cardiovascular sales and marketing objectives
- Promote and sell Medtronic's Coronary products, CathWorks, and services within an assigned geographic area or specific customer accounts
- Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with hospitals, physicians, key opinion leaders, and other stakeholders
- Pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services to maximize benefits from products and services
- Promote expanded Coronary products, CathWorks, and services to existing and competitive customers
- Conduct and/or evaluate market research on customers and competitors
- Develop and implement market development plans and strategies, changing them as needed
- Communicate customer feedback on new products or modifications to R&D, Operations, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders
- Travel extensively by car and plane and drive to multiple accounts throughout the territory
- Work in Cath Labs and/or operating rooms with potential radiation exposure
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant sales experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant leadership experience
- Preference for local qualified candidates and candidates with Medtronic experience
- Successful medical sales record, preferably with pacing or stent products
- Experience with sales and personnel management functions
- Knowledge of pacing or interventional cardiology customer base
- Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services, or related areas
- Valid driver's license for state of residency and active vehicle insurance policy
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
- Extended periods of computer-based work
- Hearing, sight, and speaking ability
- Ability to use computers
- Ability to travel extensively by car and plane
- Ability to sit and stand for 8 hours per day
- Ability to wear a lead apron for long periods of time (2–3 hours on average)
- Ability to operate a moving vehicle
- Ability to work in Cath Labs and/or operating rooms with radiation exposure
- Ability to conduct company business outside the typical Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule
- For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
- Roles below the Principal level require unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire and throughout employment
