About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee Purchasing teams at the Irvine and Santa Ana manufacturing sites
  • Drive performance to achieve service and inventory targets by developing high-performing teams
  • Lead material requirements planning (MRP) and purchase-order release activities
  • Participate in the monthly SIOP cycle, managing long-term rough-cut planning and scenario analysis
  • Identify and escalate exceptions, providing scenarios and solutions
  • Lead Tier 2 Supply meetings to surface and resolve exceptions
  • Own Plan vs Actual performance through root-cause analysis and action plans
  • Serve as primary contact for site leadership, manufacturing, global supply chain, finance, and plant operations on material planning, Plan vs Actual, and inventory matters
  • Manage material-constrained and MRP processes to align manufacturing with demand and target zero backorders and backlog
  • Support network transfer projects and ramp-down activities
  • Ensure material planning and purchase execution prevent production line stoppages
  • Lead VMI and supplier integration initiatives
  • Coach and mentor purchasing teams
  • Contribute to large-scale and complex projects
  • Optimize overall supply chain performance and exceed site service KPIs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience and 3+ years of management experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience and 3+ years of management experience
  • Knowledge of SAP, Blue Yonder, or Power BI
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Knowledge of production planning, supplier management, and warehousing
  • Medical device or medical supplies manufacturing experience
  • 10 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP experience preferred or advantageous
  • Experience implementing or utilizing LEAN/Six Sigma/A3 techniques is a plus
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to generate customer value by listening, understanding, anticipating, and solving
  • Ability to drive change and influence stakeholders in a global, matrix organization
  • Ability to move with speed and decisiveness
  • Demonstrated experience leading and motivating high-performing teams
  • For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not offered for roles below Principal level
