About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute strategies to optimize raw material and work-in-process inventory while supporting operational and customer service requirements
- Lead inventory segmentation, safety stock management, and inventory policy development
- Identify inventory productivity opportunities through data analytics, process improvements, and automation
- Drive continuous improvement focused on working capital reduction, inventory turns improvement, and inventory risk mitigation
- Monitor inventory health metrics and develop corrective action plans
- Reduce excess, obsolete, and at-risk inventory
- Lead, coach, and develop inventory planners, analysts, and inventory optimization professionals
- Establish team priorities, performance objectives, and development plans
- Partner with Supply Planning and Operational Scheduling to align inventory strategies with manufacturing plans
- Support operational forecast development, submission, and integrity processes
- Collaborate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Site Leadership to resolve inventory issues
- Utilize data analytics to develop business cases and identify optimization opportunities
- Lead inventory reviews and present actionable insights to leadership
- Develop reporting, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor inventory performance
- Present inventory strategies, risks, performance updates, and recommendations to Director-level and senior leadership
- Lead governance forums and inventory review meetings
- Escalate critical inventory, supply, and operational risks with mitigation plans
- Support annual operating plan development and inventory planning activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of leadership experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of leadership experience
- For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required
- Experience with end-to-end inventory optimization from Raw Material through Finished Goods
- Blue Yonder experience
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment; sponsorship is not offered for roles below Principal level
- Ability to communicate insights, recommendations, risks, and strategic initiatives to Director-level and senior leadership audiences
- Experience or capability in inventory segmentation, safety stock management, inventory policy development, data analytics, process improvement, automation, forecasting, reporting, dashboards, and KPIs
