About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical, clinical, educational, and sales support for safe adoption and growth of the Medtronic CoreValve System and future catheter-based therapies
- Support TAVR/TAVI implanting centers, including scrubbing in during procedures and assisting with valve loading onto delivery catheters
- Provide technical leadership and support for CoreValve implant procedures and TAVR device procedures
- Educate implanting teams on appropriate TAVR indications and safe, effective product use
- Support device suitability questions using measurement capabilities and CT reconstruction expertise
- Provide support involving imaging modalities, EKG, blood pressure, waveforms, and ancillary procedural solutions
- Oversee local education and training, procedure simulator setup, simulated TAVI procedures, troubleshooting, and hospital staff in-services
- Collaborate with sales representatives and CVG field organizations on sales strategies, business plans, and sales targets
- Support customer inventory ordering, shelf stock, returns, customer requests, and complaint resolution
- Report device complaints to appropriate Medtronic quality-assurance departments
- Maintain customer relationships with physicians, hospital staff, administrators, and other decision-makers
- Participate in customer and society education meetings and conventions
- Drive quality initiatives and global best-practice initiatives
- Assist in training new Medtronic CBT team hires
- Submit expense reports and arrange travel
- Maintain hospital eligibility and access through vendor credentialing services
- Communicate market intelligence, competitor activity, sales leads, product pricing, and account activity to sales leadership
- Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory to support multiple accounts and healthcare facilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma plus 11+ years clinical or sales experience, or Associate’s Degree plus 9+ years, or Bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years
- Clinical or sales experience selling or supporting interventional cardiology, vascular, or surgical products
- At least 3 years of the required experience in an industry setting
- Valid driver’s license for state of residency
- Active vehicle insurance policy
- Ability to travel overnight 50–75% of the time, depending on geography
- Knowledge of clinical trial protocols and CoreValve and other Medtronic TAVR product instructions for use
- Comprehensive knowledge of TAVR products, procedures, and relevant clinical literature
- Knowledge of imaging modalities including echocardiography, angiography, and CT
- CT reconstruction programming ability
- Knowledge of EKG, blood pressure, waveforms, and ancillary procedural solutions
- Ability to work in cath labs or operating rooms with radiation exposure
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and lead apron
- Ability to lift 20 pounds
- Ability to travel extensively by car and plane
- Ability to conduct business outside typical Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule
- Ability to sit and stand for 8 hours per day
- Ability to operate a moving vehicle
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
- Ability to use computers and Microsoft Office tools
- For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, degree must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)
