About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team of Territory Managers to exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Expand utilization of Endoscopy products through market development and sales
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual region sales quotas
- Drive Endoscopy commercial sales strategy, processes, and methodologies across the region
- Conduct 2–3 days of field rides with each Territory Manager at least once each quarter
- Observe performance across hospitals, physician offices, and clinics
- Provide written field coaching reports after observed time in territory
- Conduct weekly Territory Manager performance and KPI reviews
- Implement Medtronic’s Performance and Career Development framework
- Create a high-performance regional environment
- Develop and lead market development initiatives to launch Endoscopy products
- Create sales plans and quarterly forecasts using SFDC/Salesforce
- Collaborate with remote sales, commercial market development, marketing, and clinical support teams
- Establish relationships with key opinion leaders and IDN partners
- Communicate reimbursement processes for products
- Maintain clinical and product knowledge across the Endoscopy portfolio and gastrointestinal disease states
- Complete expense reports, sales reports, and other administrative requests
- Develop and communicate quarterly regional business plans
- Attend sales leadership meetings and coordinate regional sales meetings
- Complete assigned online training within required timelines
- Adhere to the Medtronic Code of Conduct
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of relevant sales and leadership experience, or advanced degree and minimum 3 years of relevant sales and leadership experience
- Must reside within the territory covering Eastern Pennsylvania, Mid to Southern New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Northern Virginia
- Valid driver’s license required
- U.S. work authorization must be unrestricted at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not offered below Principal level
- Sales management experience highly preferred, preferably in medical devices
- 2+ years of GI/Ablation experience preferred
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas
- Business planning and forecasting experience
- Formal sales skills training preferred
- Computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Medical device/equipment sales experience
- Capital Sales Process experience
- Experience leading through organizational change
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships across functional areas
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach and teach others
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Experience presenting reimbursement-related medical device sales
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, degree must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)
- Ability to meet hospital and clinic credentialing requirements
