Provide legal support within the US Commercial Legal team on topics including medical device and technology sales and marketing programs, commercial sales agreements, and other commercial contracts
Assists in reviewing, editing, and negotiating commercial contracts and related documents
Interacts with attorneys, pricing and contracting analysts, contract managers, and customers to finalize contract negotiations
Processes legal requests in a timely manner in accordance with Medtronic contracting standards and best practices
Collaborates with other legal teams, functional leaders and operating units to support improvement and harmonization of contracting processes and systems
Triages issues presented to the US Commercial Legal team, meets with internal contracting and business clients, and provides direction and escalation as needed
Partners with other subject matter experts across a global, matrixed organization
Conducts research on projects as directed by attorneys or other paralegals
May review and ensure the company's compliance with regulations
Assists internally in analyzing documents
Participates in other projects as assigned or as needed
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate with 4+ years of paralegal or legal experience; or, an advanced degree with 2+ years of paralegal or legal experience
Paralegal Certificate
Experience drafting, reviewing, modifying, and negotiating various agreement types
Exceptional performer with high degree of self-motivation
Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously while appropriately prioritizing each
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with and influence all levels of leadership and executive management
Ability to work independently
