About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and test signal processing algorithms, implemented as high-performance high-reliability production code for a medical device
- Collaborate with hardware engineering team on electronics and firmware to support signal processing needs
- Manage signal processing pipelines within Affera software products
- Performance verification and validation of signal processing and computational algorithms
- Analyze bench, preclinical, and clinical data to inform design decisions and verification activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience
- Deep understanding of signal processing fundamentals including filter design (continuous and discrete) and statistics
- Experience with machine learning-based development, including dataset annotation, model development, system validation, and deployment in production software environments
- Understanding of, or interest in learning about, cardiac pacing, mapping, ablation, and body impedance measurements
- Hands on R&D experience, ideally working with custom/prototype hardware
- Proficiency with software development on Linux operating system
- Experience programming in Python and C++
- Ability to work in an agile development environment
- Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial drive
- Interest in gaining a deep understanding of cardiac electrophysiology.
